One of the best ways to ensure terminology consistency in medical translations is to provide real-time access to glossary terminology for all constituents (clients, linguists, In-Country Reviewers). ENLASO's Lexikon system does just that, offering a web-based glossary management environment which also provides audit trails for glossary changes.

I believe audit trails are one of the most essential features of a terminology management system. It vastly improves quality and consistency to know why terms were put in place or updated.
